Summary: Next Generation sequencing techniques has revolutionized the research and developments in disease diagnostics and therapeutic developments. The genomics sequencing with the new high throughput techniques are becoming the de facto standards, however the huge data generated by these sequencing protocols are becoming a bottleneck in both functional analysis and interpretations of the disease and other information.
This 1 day introductory free session on NGS DATA analysis at BLTi is aimed to familiarize and introduce the new techniques and tools and methods in the area.

Summary: Summary: R, a free and great statistical programming language enabled by many efficient and good biological functional packages to support the biological data analysis ranging from basic representations and plots to more complex high throughput data like NGS and microarray, network biology , proteomics and many more areas of biology. R and its packages play a very important role in biological data analysis and research. It is becoming indispensable tools for research, publications, functional annotations and representation of the data.
This 1 day training provides an easy way for biologists to understand the basics of R for their research. Some of the examples covered during the training like microarray/NGS data analysis and various representations of the data will be quite exciting for the trainees and biologists.

Summary: Microarray data, a high throughput and well stable protocol is being used in countless research and molecular diagnostics areas. The statistical and other representation techniques of microarray data are crucial to get the accurate biology from the data. Summary: RNA-seq , a NGS based protocol for transcriptome, small RNA, Translatome and many such analysis has revolutionised the research and developments in disease diagnostics and therapeutic developments. RNA-seq and recently the single cell RNA seq (scRNA-seq) are becoming the standards in the genomics data analysis for their wide range of application in clinical research, mutational analysis in various diseases and biomarker identification. RNA-Seq technology produces discrete, digital sequencing read counts, and can quantify expression across a larger dynamic range.

Single cell RNASeq (scRNA-seq)measures the distribution of expression levels for each gene across a population of cells, also to study new biological questions in which cell-specific changes in transcriptome are important. Main challenge is each library represents a single cell, significant attention has to be paid to comparison of the results from different cells.

This 2 day Hands on training provided by experts with vast experiance in NGS data analysis, help you understand and analyse your RNA-seq and scRNA-seq data.

Summary: Pathway analysis are employed for detecting relevant groups of related genes that are altered in case samples in comparison to a control. Pathway Enrichment help researchers to identify biological pathways that are enriched in a gene list more than would be expected by chance. Pathway Enrichment cluster genes into groups that share common biological function, also help in reducing false positives obtained in gene-pathway sets. Visualisation of biological data is for better represent the results from genomic analysis methods. Network analysis in cytoscape provide for classification of pathways and genes based on functionality. These help in infering new biological insights from the genomic data.
This 2 day training help a participants better there downstream analysis capabilities and represent their biology in a standard methodolgy.

About

The moto of BLTi is to provide the state of the art training and courses in the latest scientific areas in collaboration with experts and experience professionals across the world. BLTi is having a network of experts called for in for each specific areas to train the participants. The main focus areas are : 1. Computational Genomics and all various related areas like disease genomic variations, Molecular clinical diagnostics, Cancer genomics, AI related aspects in Cancer diagnostics 2. Computational Models, software and tools including software programming for life sciences applications. We provide three levels of training:

  • Basic- for those starting from zero level
  • Intermediate- for working professionals and having some ideas of the areas
  • Advance - for experts to make them professional experts with hands on.
  • Apart from currently announced training and courses, pre-registration for any of the training can be done in advance.
